My first and every trip to Spain I visit the small taller of Pedro de Miguel, on Calle Amor de Dios ("Love of God" street -- even my Spanish teacher America Martinez would not believe there is such a street). This is right off the Atocha Metro station, and the Metro is SO easy (and cheap) to get around on -- little info booths with real people who speak ten langauges and give you maps. Cars are discouraged in Spanish cities, gracias a Dios.
I have played his guitars and they are excellent and I want one. He has some which are not expensive, also some which are wired. Heading south to Granada I didn't want to lug my guitar along, so i asked Pedro if I could park it in the shop.He pointed to a corner with three cased guitars, which he smilingly referred to as his "Guitar garage." Wonderful place to visit and absorb. Here is an interview, and there are links, too, to fabulous Flamenco.
